The North Grand Island bridge is a twin Truss arch bridge. The first span was opened in 1935 and the second addition to the Truss arch bridge came in 1965. Operated by the New York State Thruway, this bridge extends Interstate 190 across the Niagara River from Niagara Falls to Grand Island. The a total of 5 toll booths in the toll plaza can be found on the Grand Island side of this bridge. The cost to travel across this 4,000 feet (1,219 m) bridge is $1.00, unless you have an EZPass.

The South Grand Island Bridge

Tonawanda, New York – Grand Island, New York

1935 – Present

The South Grand Island Bridge is also a twin Truss arch bridge with the first span opened in 1935 and the second opened in 1962. This bridge, which is also operated by the New York State Thruway, extends Interstate 190 across the Niagara River from Tonawanda to Grand Island. The total of 7 toll booths in the toll plaza can be found on the Tonawanda side of the bridge. The cost to travel across the 3,400 feet (1,036 m) bridge is also $1.00 unless you have the EZPass.
