Nightly Illumination Niagara Falls

Nightly Illumination of the Falls utilizing electricity first occurred in January 1879 and led the way for the Falls to be illuminated every night since. The illumination on Niagara Falls allows guests to enjoy the Falls at night all year long. A variety of colours are used to light up the Falls along with a white light. The illumination schedule changes depending on the time of year.

Enjoy Nightly Illuminations every evening beginning at dusk. Both Falls' are beautifully lit in the colours of the rainbow. This is a don't miss. The unmatched beauty of the Falls at night is spectacular !

Jan 1 to Jan 5              5:00 p.m. - Midnight

Jan 6 to Feb 28           6:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

*Mar 1 - Mar 7           7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

*Mar 8 - Mar 31         8:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

*Apr 1 - Apr 30          8:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

*During the months of March & April, the Falls will be illuminated until midnight on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays

May 1 to Aug 13            9:00 p.m. - Midnight

Aug 14 - Sept 30           8:30 p.m. - Midnight

Oct 1 - Oct 31                7:00 p.m. - Midnight

Nov 1 - Nov 6                6:30 p.m. - Midnight

Nov 7 - Dec 30              5:00 p.m. - Midnight

Dec 31                           5:00 p.m. - 1 a.m.
